Research
The scientific activities of the Department during the last five years are focused on the palaeo-environmental analysis of phases from alpine and Cenozoic sedimentation systems, based on systematic stratigraphic classification and biotic and abiotic indices. At the same time, the teaching personnel of the Department has conducted numerous applied research programs and museum exhibitions, thus proving the important contribution of the Department to the country’s development. The above programs are realized through international, national and private funding.
